StormBLOCKER^® is a high-strength composite panel manufacturer by Norplex-Micarta. It is also the backbone of a safe room system capable of withstanding a direct hit of an EF-5 Tornado or Cat-5 Hurricane and protecting everyone inside the shelter. The panels are only .312” thick and can be built as a safe room using normal construction tools. The panels, door assembly, and reinforced stud framing are all specified to the FEMA 320 directorate and ICC/NSSA standard for safe room performance.
